Low nutrients and livestock

I just thought I would post this question because I have 3 Maxima Clams and just wondered, because clams supposedly like some nitrates, how does one feed them in a low nutrient system or do I need to treat them any differently to how I am doing now?

Is there any other livestock that needs particular attention in a low nutrient system?

Hi Chris

This is where the amino acids play a role. My 5 clams (3 maximas) are fine right at the bottom of a T5 tank.

The clams may also ingest no3 laded bacteria.
