What gets your LPS feeding when the lights are on? I have tried alot but so far have only found TMC mysis packs get them feeding. I would just like to feed them when the lights are on. What does everyone feet their LPS?

I don't feed mine anything directly. (Euphyllia, Catalaphyllia, Trachyphyllia, Duncanopsammia, Lobophyllia and so on)

I dont feed anything directly other than a spikey brain that was dieing back when i was given it. It now seems to be recovering. Just wondered if people notice when they put any food in if it makes their LPS feed and if so what?

If i add coral vibrance to my tank my brains are out feeding shortly afterwards!

I do feed "the tank" quite heavily however - the fish get New Era products every day, but I also add Cyclopeze to the tank (just swish it about in the return section of the sump), and Fauna Marin's UltraMin, UltraClam, and UltraMin S - these are more for the filter feeders and SPS corals, but the LPS corals go straight into "feeding mode" when this stuff goes in the tank!

Cheers for the replys. Think i might get some more food in the next few days to give it a try and see if theres any difference!:thanks:

Nothing's ever got any of ours out during lights-on except the tubastrea which opens up whenever any food goes in. We do put some extra in after dark, though, and have recently been target feeding them a bit more - especially a couple which haven't looked too great since we got them. They're still opening up well to feed, so hopefully they'll improve in time...
