Hey guys.

I am in the process of planning a new tank.
I currently have a 85% SPS 8'x30"x30" + 5'x2'x18" sump. Due to the high running cost of this tank and the liklihood of moving house late this year or early nxt and tooo many over expensive hobbies also. etc.. etc..

I have taken the hard decision to downsize. I have a 5x2x2 with cabinet untouched as of yet. I have been thinking of setting up something a little more dareing for me, like replaceing my Tunzes with a closed loop system and a incorperated frag farm etc.

I have been reading alot about these ultra low nutrient systems and am interested alot in this route.
Just wondered what system people would do with an empty glass box and a blank canvas so to speak?

I am wanting to continue with my SPS, and probebly cut down on the fish bio load.

Cheers

Sounds really good Mark.

The advantage of starting from scratch - ie running the system from the off, with freshly imported corals for stocking is that there will be minimal browning out. Given the bacs with zeovit - obe can stock much sooner than the traditional maturation period.

Have a look over at Thomas Phols' new display tank in the gallary section of zeovit.com - quite extraordinary - particularly for the time it has been set up.

Are you tempted to go for a few extra inches front to back?

Cheers

My idea;

Zeovit-method;

All T5;
no streams, just a big returnpump;
Zeovit-filter;
skimmer;
a few kilo's of LR in the displaytank;
done.

You prob. won't need a Ca-reactor on a tank that size, so I would recommend BioCalcium to get the Ca up if neccessery.
