As mentioned a while ago Claude from Fauna Marin has kindly made available 25ml sample bottles of Fauna Marin Ultra Min-s and Ultra bak.
These are the core FM products that will allow you to get started and experience first hand the benefits of running a low nutrient aquarium.
The samples provide sufficient Bak and Min-S to keep a 50 gallon aquarium running for a good month. In most aquariums you will by then start to experience the benefits in reduced nitrates and increased coral vigour and colour.
The bottles come with a detailed instruction and help sheets on how to get started simply and easily.
The FM team are always on hand in the forum here to help you out or via email. Fauna Marin products are available from most UR sponsors.

Great way to market new products - I expect we'll see more and more of this type of marketing, the yanks have been doing this for years.
Cosmetic firms love this method too.

I will be giving it a go in a couple of days as i think i will change my phosphate remover and give it a chance to work. Everything else in the tank seems ok so i am hopeful that it shouild have a chance to work.

Quick question - I am currently setting up my tank - in a week or so some of the stock from the old system will be moving across slowly. My question is can I start to use the the system now on the new system or should I wait until all the stock has been moved across.

I would wait ros lots of balances will be out of shot including magnesium, let the new system settle down then try it.

Samples arrived on Saturday, thanks very much Jez,
having a few problems with phosphates at the moment, so have delayed the trial for a couple of weeks and will post results

Well only 3 days into it early i know but emtied the skimate this morning and nearly chucked up ...normally get a smell but this was something else.
Also this morning added the amounts and shorty after the skimmer started to overflow!
Could be coincidence tho.
