Were do i start :annoyed:
well luckly i was i the kicken (where my tank is) and all a sudden the room went dark, turned round and the metal halides had gone off on the tank, first thoughts were that both the bulbs went but when i look at the aquatronica control unit and it said that plugbar 1 was disconnected  so unpluged plugbar 1 and plugged it back in, looked at control panel at it now said pulgbar 1 disconted But i had a plugbar 3 but with only 4 sockets  should point out here that i have 2 plugbars. so i unplugged everything on both plugbars and swapped them around so my plugbar 1 was now setup as plugbar 2 and plugbar 2 was plugbar 1 but the control panel still showed that i only have 4 sockets on the same plugbar
also now my Temperature sensor dont work, it showing my tank at 0.2c when i plug the sensor in the control panel say's it is a diferent sensor and to change or disconect it
the whole thing is driving me nuts
Sounds like something burned out in that Plugbar. I suggest you disconnect the cable and put that Bar in manual Mode and connect the controller to just the good one. Seems like you are going to need to contact your dealer.

OK i have sorted out the temp sensor out, the controler seems to think i have 2 temp sensors when i only have one so i got a question mark flashing telling me a temp sensor is not connected even when i link it up to my laptop i can not get rid of it
but i still have only got 4 of the sockets on the plugbar showing up
Reset the unit and see if that corrects the issues.
Without stating the obvious etc but nothing wet has got near it has it?
Just a thought, but can the Tronica plugbars handle starting 2 MH lights without damage?
I run the IKS unit and know that the electronics in the plugbars will eventually fry if you constantly start 2 MH lights at the same time because of the current draw. I use timer contactors to protect my plugbars.
hope you sort it.
Best

May be worth staggering the on and off times of the halides by 15 minutes to lower the load.
Kev
fishandchips what kind of Halides do you use?

Most timing systems should not be used with MH without a contactor taking the massive inductive loads they produce.. If you have plugged you MH units in the Aquatronic plugbar i suspect you have totally overloaded it..

using 2x250w STM compacts the haileds are pluged into a contractor then the contractor (timer plug) is plugged into the aquatronica plugbar
im in contact with wavey so hopfully it will be sorted out soon
Thats a lot of startup current for a powerbar. I suggest you use a relay circuit to save future powerbars from burning out.

His using a contactor mate so there shouldnt be any inductive load on the plugbar.

I start my 4 * 400 watt Halides direct from my Aquatronica plug bar with no issue at all. I used to have contactors but took them off when I upgraded to Electronic ballasts.

On the IKS unit, you can only use one metal halide uniit per plug bar.
Yeah I am pretty sure that two on any controller Plugbar is bound to cause a problem.
