Quick UltraBio question

UltraBio used to be sold in ampoules - it now comes in a little bottle.

The Fauna Marin website doesn't give details of how much to dose when using the bottle. The instructions on the bottle say "2 drops per 100 litres per day" I thought it was supposed to be dosed weekly?

Ian, with the dropper bottle you can either dose weekly (large amount!) based on 2 drops per 100l or you can dose it daily... smaller doses.. naturally its better to dose small amounts daily rather than flood the tank weekly.

The old Ultrabio ampoules just followed the prodibio dosing recommendations as they used to be the same!

So what sort of daily dose is recommended per 100 litres?

When kicking of the sysytem, start at 2 drops per 100l daily, once nitrates are dropping, you can cut back to 1 drop per 100l daily.

Once nitrates are less than half original figures, I have found that 1 drop/100l every other day to be fine.

Its really a case of try a dose and see, alays try cutting back once you reach the level you are after and if things begin to rise, increase the dose back up.

Reviving this thread a little here but my tank is 1700 litres and 1 bottle is 50ml, going by the 2 drops per 100 litres = 17 x 2 = 34 drops.

I am guessing a 50ml bottle isn't going to last the week? Is there an alternative size that isn't going to break the bank?

The new dosing is 1 drop per / 100 Liter/ day

If you need you can have also a 100 ml or 250ml Bottle on special request
