have loads of it in nice places and have managed to keep it under control but have just used a invert friendly treatment for whitespot and has closed up,
have done a larger than normal waterchange put activated carbon in and skimmer back on will it recover?

Never trust something "invert friendly". Often they aren't even invert friendly in the first place, or are damaging to corals' systems. It should recover, but don't use medication in your main tank ever again.

belive me i wont, only thing is everything else is ok, 3 anemones, candycane and so on, i have been told the xenia can be very sensative
