I got my reactor up and running and all was well slowly dosed up to the full amount of lith and min-s, bio bac and organic. no3 had gone down to 5 with the reactor 3 on 3 off. had to remove the reactor to add one way valve so it got emptied and now i can't seem to get no3 below 25.

I have resorted to running the reactor full time to see what happens?

Any suggestions FM guys I am using a newjet 400 to supply the reactor.

Cheers
Steve

How long has the reactor been back on. The three on and three on or cycling the reactor is better at helping denitrifying bacteria.

im new to this myself but how long was the reactor off line, did the Lithe dry out when you emptied it. as far as i can tell the Lithe must stay wet, you may have killed off the bacteria so will take time to build up again.

how long did it take for the No3 to jump back up from 5-25

The reactor was only off for say an hour or so and all remained wet inside but not submursed.

Seemed to go back up really quick within a couple of days, might have been a dodgy test that gave me the result of 5.
Am going to run the reactor on constant for a few days and see what happens then may go to timed strange....

the stones must be submerged when you cycle the reactor
