Ultimate Reef is proud to bring you the latest awe-inspiring tank in this years fantastic series of Tank of the Month.
There has been a lot of discussion about ultra low nutrient systems and this months TOTM subscribes to that way of reefkeeping. The curiousity and movement towards this type of system has been substantial enough for UR to create a dedicated forum specifically for Ultra Low Nutrient Systems. Like most of you, I have to see things working to be convinced and the system in this months TOTM not only works it flourishes and more importantly it looks awesome. So, without further adue, congratulations trythechi

One question, how important do you feel the actinic part of the T5 lighting is with regards to colouring up your corals.
Many thanks all for the kind words - gives a nice warm glow:)
RB - My corals dont flourese under the Narva Blues. I dont think there is a true T5 actinic like the old T8s, so I dont think 420 output has contributed much to the colors.
Cheers

well done matey, simply stunning, one of the best looking tanks ive seen
Very nice another master piece. Excellent job mate.
superb tank and a great write up.
When everything is going pear shaped, I shall turn to the photos of your tank to keep me going !
Fantastic!
Having followed your comments also on the Ultra Low Nutrient Systems thread, I think I can continue with my ULNS with great confidence and hope that my tank will look as colourful and healthy as yours. Brilliant inspiration for us!

thats a nice tank. well done
Amazing tank with truly beautiful colours & photographic skill. Congratulations on your success using zeovit with t5s after the inspiration from Iwan.
One question though Simon, do you find the kz fiji purple in your 1:1 setup giving a more pinkish tint than the normal MH/t5 supplement set up ? Obviously this is not noticeable in the full tank photo.
Congratulations Si
Nice selection of colour, should nick name your reef the rainbow tank ;)
Well deserved Simon... truly fantastic set up  :applause:
Thomas Pohl will be proud of you

Not quite the last. I had the opportunity to see Trythechi's reef last weekend and the colours are stunning. The corals tend to take your eyes away from the rockwork structure but there is a lot of detail there too, with glimpses of the biggest Fungia I've ever seen through a cave.
A tank to aspire to and the best advertisement ULNS could wish for.
Mark.
