I recieved my samples yesterday -

I have a 500l tank and sump - near to 450 by the time I take into accout displacement etc.

Phosphate is 0.03/0 on a salifert test kit (not 100% sure if there is any colour or not
Nitrate is 5-10 (the lowest I have ever seen it.
Ca is 400 and Mag 1000 - I'm increasing the mag as we speak.

Should I wait until the Mag is higher.
I also have a Ca reactor which is being set up at the moment, would it be more benefical if I wait until this is on line.

Just thinking if the corals are going to get more active, then should I have the better levels in the tank to take advantage of this and hopefully see some growth?

I have some cyno in my sump at present but only in small patches here and there. I was planning in dosing 0.5ml. Is this daily and of both the bac and min?

Thanks

JOn

Hi
Other than the magnesium nothing too far out here, I would keep an eye on phosphate but start with an equal half dose for a week of 0.25 per day rather than 0.5 just to see how it goes never any harm going slow. Gives time for bacteria to start using its additional food sources. Week two go to the .5 if all looks well.

Thanks for the info Jez, should I be adding double the amount of Bak to Min?

I've got a Chromis tank - 100l approx. so I've started off by adding .025ml Min & .05ml Bak daily - planning to increase the amount after a week of this regime to 0.05ml Min & 0.1ml Bak. I then plan to increase to 0.1ml Min and 0.2ml Bak after another week.

Am I doing this right?

Thanks

Im a massive fan of the Fauna range.

ive tried and tested so many "miracle" products and started taking interest last year in this, and physicly started last October.

I broke my system down last month and currently new building from scratch relying fully on the Fauna / Ballin system.

The running costs from using this were next to nothing when taking in to account other products that were supposed to do the job.
Anyway without giving sponsers to big a head ill say no more  but im one of the first to jump in and say if somethings rubbish, and ive yet to hear anyone who has dosed properly say a bad word on this, realy is a good and cost effective way to run a reef.

I do think most people havent heard or worry at cost etc but it realy does work, the new set up I have I want to test and challenge these products.

Basicly im a HGV driver who currently sick ( so money realy is an issue and i wouldnt spend if i didnt trust the product)

Bieng a driver, im not chemicaly minded as such but found the help and advice given from ITC both honest and easy to follow.
My old system had phosphates which id suffered for months reduce to next to nothing on the D & D test kit
Acro colouration and growth was amazing, i had the normal brown tinged with colour like most have which simply thickened and coloured after around 4 months.
Ive read so much written in what i see is a foreign language ( chemical equasions) yet Ian and Jezz will simplify things in understandable terms if asked

A top quality name and I do believe as word gets out this will be an essential product for the additive drawer :thanks:
