since thd last update my controler has been locking up every couple of days, The screen goes black and will not respond to buttons being pushed ,all sockets remain in the state they were in before controller goes down i.e heater on and stays on. very worrying has anyone had similar probs or has the controller had it only just over a year old

PM a Mod asking them to move this to the correct forum (ITC) where Ian will no doubt respond.

There seems to be a batch of controllers that have developed this problem. It has nothing to do with the last update, the first unit showed up about 3 months ago.

What you need to do is contact your dealer ASAP and let him know of the problem. Aquatronica has been exchanging these units when informed, so you should have no problem with that.

Until you get the new controller I suggest you do the following. The powerbars are intelligent with built in processors and timers, so if you disconnect the working Controller from the powerbars all your timer programs should work as normal. The other devices like chillers/heaters/Ro / Ca / Etc. anything that works on Level sensor or Probe programms should be hooked up manually and use whatever method you can to regulate them, methods that do not depend on the Aquatronica.

DO NOT leave the controller connected and expect all will go well. The controller can lock up at anytime and may leave your RO water solenoid running or heater/chiller stuck ON. Just disconnect it and plan to use manual mode till you get a replacement.

BTW Aquatronica pays for standard shipping of the replacement, so if you want next Day air you need to let the dealer know you are willing to pay the extra, because you want it fast.
