Skimmer goes nuts

Hi,Just wondering why my skimmer starts to work better just after i add ultrabak and ultramin s.
3 times it's done this now not complaining just wondering why the skimmer goes ape just after i add it, glad it's in the sump as i think it would flood the front room if i wasnt around to turn it down each time.

if it is thich foam production i would put it down to an ingredient in the bac and/or min that increases surface tension, this will have the effect of making a "stronger" foam that is less prone popping...

if it is just filling with watery stuff then the opposite is true ... the additives are reducing surface tension

I have been using ultralith in the sump and dosing with bio and bak for a week. i have noticed that my skimmer is running much wetter than before. the skimmer discharges a large amount of froth into the cup and the residual liquor is not as dark as before.
