View Full Version : Open Brain Problem
My open brain coral has been wonderful for several months and all of a sudden looks much withdrawn. All parameters are OK and the only thing I can think of is that it coincides with the start of dosing with Salifert Iodine (after new salifert test kit registered 0 on both counts of Iodiate etc)
I have never target fed the coral but note it puts feeders out at night.
Has anyone experienced anything like this or any other advice please.

I think you probably need to target feed it. My open brain started to look sick too and then someone told me I should have been feeding it (d'oh). I give it little pieces of prawn and it grabs them readily when in feeding mode (after light-out). Since I started this it has grown to double it's previous size.
Thanks for that will give it a go. Anyone else any experience?

My male clown hassles one of mine.
That will annot it enough to cause problems
I have a lobophyllia of some sort (I bought it as a mushroom - don't ask...) and I have started to feed it fairly regularly and the results have been phenomenal in a short space of time - attach a bib to it, baby, and start feeding!!!!
Oh and make sure your shrimp are occupied so they don't wade in to try and steal the food....
