Recently aquired a little colony of what I believe to be scleronepthea (see pic). My question is do these corals need direct feeding or will they get sufficent nutrients from the nutrients in the water column from fish food etc (I supplement with Marine Deluxe coral food daily also)? If they do need fed directly what is recommended? :thanks: in advance

That looks more like a pink dendro to me as the stalk looks a little longer than a scelro? Might well be wrong though?

In either case they are non-synthetic feeders (no light requirements) so require lots of phyto & other filter foods added to the tank for them to survive...

I'm now using the fauna Marin range for just this reason...

Cheers, Shelton.

Do you feed directly at the appropriate corals or add to the water column and let them do the rest?

I add to the water column though you can try and spot feed.
