View Full Version : Very simple level question...
In my display i have a level switch to trip the sump return if the display floods.
In prog i have this set as LEVEL ok - ON in one prog and LEVEL high - OFF in a 2nd.
It works tripping the pump but as soon as the level drops the pump turns back on so it just cycles over and over - is there a way to set it so if it trips it STAYS off?
i dont quite get the "maximum time" section - is that to do with it?
Not sure on this but if you set the max time to 1 second would then this trip the alarm when this wasn't recifying the level issue in the short space of time and therefore stop the pump?
Kinda like a reverse of the top up, set max time to 30 secs for example and if that doesn't fill it the alarm trips and all functions stop.
Or is it not that simple?
Chris
seems after that 1 sec it just defaults to on????
Hmmm so the best we can think of is to increase max time to maximise the time the pump stays off for but we can't switch it off after the display reaches a certain height?
I can't remember what the exact max time is but you could set it to this while we get a definitive answer.
Not sure why your display would overflow short of the durso/s blocking or at least not cope with the return pump, which to me sounds if your worrying to much or have a design flaw.
I'm guessing not the later as you been at this for some time, or is there a third party addition that may cause the overflow?
Chris
the display overflow is in case an overflow blocks, about as likley as a plane crashing on the house the way i have it set up - but planes still crash!

.... and if a plane did happen to crash on the house, a blocked overflow would be the least of your worries.
planes have a lot of electrics - wouldn't want to expose that to any minor tank flood - could be disastrous.

You seem to have thought of everything :D
