i have 2 plug bars and 2 halides (400 watt) so i have put one on each to split the load. 3 weeks ago one light did not go of so i simply changed the plug to different socket and retyped the program in.

The same has happened again the socket that had the second halide has now gone permanently live. it does not respond to the program any longer. i have deleted the program input a new program but still does not respond.

The only modification that i have done is changed the power lead from 2 meters to 4 metes, which was done by a sparky, Plug one is working fine and i have had no problems

What can i do as do not want to simply move the plug and then in another 3 weeks it will go again

I had this problem with mine, in my case it turned out I had 2 x mkI plugbars which didn't have a resistor or something in it, both were replaced & both worked fine since, give Wavey (Ian) a PM/Email about it......

Cheers, Shelton.

you shouldnt have to but i would use a contactor to be safe and take the risk out of it

ONe was replaced via my LFS & the other had to be sent to Italy (via wavey) for them to confirm/llok at the problem, but in both cases it was FOC & excellent service :)

IIRC he can tell by the info the aquatronica gives when its plugged into it?

Cheers, Shelton.

Plug bar replaced,

But for all Aquatronica users, for 400w halides I would recommend contactors are used, many 400's draw far more on start up and the bars are designed for 500w per individual plug.
