Going to try & get hold of Ian this morning, my Dosing pump has now locked twice

First time it caused a "bus error" & the only way I could reset it was to pull the power for 10 secs....

I have just come down this morning to find it has locked again, so since 11pm lastnight it has not topped up, the sump is dangerously low  Beginning to regret swopping from my 2 trusted peri's now

Anybody else had problems with these?

Cheers, Shelton.

Mine has stopped working altogether - just got the ? on the controller. Waiting on a reply from Ian but I'm guessing it needs to go back.

Can you not just use any old pump for top up - bit of a waste of a peri pump channel? I use a small maxijet.

I know what you mean though - I sold two peris too!

EDIT - if you long in the ULNS forum in the thread about automated dosing, the peri pump is not recommended for use as a top-up pump.

Hi M8,

I rang Ian this morning, top service as per the norm, listened to the probs & said he'd replace it, he should have some mroe arriving this friday so I've got to ring him back then.... I would suggest you ring him at the shop tomorrow morn about yours?

Re topup... Yes tbh no peri pump should be used for it tbh! I have a level sensor & it only tops up if that reads low & its programmed to error if the sensor isn't reading high after 20mins max.....

Cheers, Shelton.

Have you managed to get anywhere with yours? I rang Ian friday morning & was told they hadn't come in, I've since left 2 messages without reply?

Cheers, Shelton.

Just hijacking the thread slightly...

I was under the impression that the dosing pumps were not designed to be run for any length of time - such as might be the case when topping up the sump with RO. I'm sure I read that quite recently - something about them overheating if run for prolonged periods?

I've sent my transformer back a week ago - waiting for a replacement - hopefully just that, that has gone.

I don't run mine all the time, I have 1 of the heads dosing kalk during the night at about 2 secs worth every 30 or so.... The main problem I had with mine is that it tends to lockup if you give it a manual command & every so often I get a bus error & it says its been disconnected even though its not been touched at all????

Hmmmmmmm, yes can't say the service has been as good as in the past, was told the units came in last Thursday & was going to be posted Friday, rang yesterday & left a message saying it hadn't arrived & could someone contact me, rang Ian directly on his mobile this afternoon as no returned call to be told it should be going out today! :(

So not holding my breath over the next couple of days......

Cheers, Shelton.

All sorted as you can see from other thread. This pump also needed a controller reset to remove old dosing programmes.
