i have a large fox coral. i may have damaged it when i first bought it but i am not sure. a tiny bit of skeleton is sticking out. it has been like this for a few weeks atleast. it doesnt seem to be getting any worse or better and there is algae forming on this tiny bit of skeleton.

whats the chances of this coral eventually healing itself? should i consider fragging it? if so how do i fragg it?

this coral wasnt cheap and it is stunning so i would really like to do as much as possible for it.

it really blooms when the lights are on so i am not overly concerned at the moment.

hi please dont frag it as you will probably do more damage than good to it , use a pipette to squirt of any algae on the skeleton as this may stop it from healing.these corals have sometimes got sections that are not connected as such that sometimes appears like a section missing......IF it looks healthy and is coming out just best to let it be.............regards

ok i'll take your word for it seen as it was you that sold me it. foxface seems to be taking care of the algae anyway. i've seen him eating it but doesnt touch the coral at all.
