a few questions ....

it seems to be a problem with the fauna marin that there is not enough info , on the use of the products , my problem is this


i have set up a new tank with sugar fine sand at the bottom , an inch at the most tank build thread is on members tanks.....

tank will hold around 700 litres ,

i have 500g of ultra lith at the moment , in my rena filstar 3 external filter which i shake daily , but the ultra lith isnt the problem thats seems easy enough , it is the addivives that is more confusing ,

i have bio bak and mins

how long should i dose bio? fm say 2 weeks on site , do i stop it completly or do an additionl dose once a week?

should i be using the bak and mins right away? and what amount for my tank? i have sps and lps corals in now ? many thanks!

ive just started dosing bak and bio, on about day 12 at the moment

the advice from Jez was to dose minimal ammounts and increase it each week until you hit the recommended doses or cut down if you start getting algae blooms.

my system is just under 1000litres
im dosing the recommended dose of ultra bio which is 20 drops per day and i started doseing the BAK ay 0.25ml per day for the first week
then second week is 0.50ml, this increases each week until i hit the rec dose of about 5ml per day. hopefully by which point the nitrates will have dropped (currently at 50ish ppm) and then ill start dosing mins at 0.25ml per day and increase that weekly up to the rec dose
