I have just opened my Aquatronica Kit and installed all components - my question is:

Does the Ph probed need to be calibrated prior to use as the instructions do not say if this is needed and does not have a calibration sachet in the box?

Your assistance here would be greatly appreciated!

Regds and thanks

yes it does need calibrating, I don't quite understand why liquid isn't supplied but it isn't, that is normal with the aquatronicas, on a positive note though mine doesn't seem to need calibrating very often.

The advice I was given was to leave the probe in the tank for a week or so before doing anything, to give it time to bed in, and then calibrate it using the appropriate calibration fluids.

i agree you do need to pop it into the tank for a week to 10 days then you must calibrate the probe using the instructions that came with the ph probe, you will need to have ph fluid in ph 7 and ph10 to calibrate this probe.

Most lfs will stock this but i would get the Aquatronica fluid if i was you. :D
