From the Aquatronica website:

New Firmware updates are available for the Aquatronica PC Software and Aquarium Controller
New updates are available for the Aquarium Controller System, specifically; the updates are for the Aquarium Controller and PC software.

Since these updates contain numerous improvements, we suggest that everyone performs these updates.

The new versions are:

Firmware v. 4.0 for the Aquarium Controller
- Management of the Water Leak sensor
- New min. time for level programs
- Improved battery management
- Correction of “minor bugs”

PC software v. 6.0
- Management of the Water Leak sensor
- Correction of "minor bugs"

Same here Craig, perhaps they pulled the update which they've done in the past?

Cheers, Shelton.

Mine wouldn't update using the update feature in the software. Went to the download page on the Aquatronic site and downloaded it from the link. All installed fine.

Sorry should have said I used the download page as per Peter above, just find it works first time that way as opposed to doing it through the Tronica which can often take 3 or 4 attempts.

worked for me by first downloading the software from AQ site.

Then running firmware updater from new installed software.

I just tried to update mine. Windows blue screened and the Aquatronica screen went blank. I now will not power up presumably as it was half way through the firmware upgrade. Has anyone got any ideas. My PC has never blue screened before so I can only imagine it was something to do with the aquatronica. I think I will be safe enough to leave the switches on manual overnight to try and run the Aquatronica battery down. Any suggestions as the unit is outwith warranty. I really wish I had never seen this thread as it was working great before I tried to update.

Hopefully my issue above is resolved. I plugged in the controller again and updated the firmware from the software - File>Update System. I lost all my settings but it seems to have done the trick. I am not sure what went wrong with the original update but it is reassuring to know you can install firmware to a controller which cant connect and has a blank screen. After a quick dash through all the settings and a test by lifting levels sensors and changing the ref temperature to activate fans/heater all appears to be running correctly again.

Just got around to performing the update - no problems at all.

Was a bit disappointed that the Ethernet Module web interface doesn't appear to have had any attention lavished upon it. So much so that I felt compelled to start up VisualStudio and start working on my own project again! :D

Ian I have Good News for you and the rest of the AQ owners.

The Good News is that the Aquatronica can now do a whole lot more with the Ethernet.

:applause::applause::applause::applause:

No doubt Aquatronica will be releasing their own version soon :whistling: Either that or they give up and release a SDK :D I think they have been a bit slow in this respect realising the potential of their product.

Thats great software - at last some way of knowing how much money I'm throwing away with tank heating in the winter!! Might just have to buy the ethernet interface now!!

Aquastats moves the Aquatronica into a whole new level of controller. It now becomes the only controller that you can easily do serious scientific study of changing water parameters. All the other controllers require tedious patching and piecing of data.
