The controllable nanostream 6055 from Tunze is finally on the shelf in some numbers. You can read up on this superb nanostreamer here:

Do you stock the smaller models?
We have the 6025 and the 6045 but remember, these are none controllable, go to the site and look up Tunze in the marine section.
Lady rang me tonight just before I left work, she bought two 6055's last week and wanted to order a third - must be alright eh? Anyone there already using one, how do you find it performing?

I asked the same question on this thread, as I dearly wanted to be told they were great. But not a lot of good response.

Anyone else?

I suppose it what people THINK they are getting. If they expect a tsunami machine, then they are obviously going to be disappointed. Of all the 6055's we have sold NOT ONE had either come back or received a negative response.
Yes, I think you're right - it was down to me what I thought I was getting although I wasn't expecting a tsunami (it's no lightweight at 5500 lph though).
For £135 my outrageous and naive expectation was great build quality and low noise, just as with all the other Tunze products I have used over the last 10 years (particularly the full-size streams which I have used since they appeared in the UK). I was sorely disappointed with all 3 6055s and they all went back to the shop - the second was so bad it was unusable. I understand mine were not the only ones to be returned and that other shops have had a number of returns too, in one case ALL of them.
You must be very lucky, or manage your customers' expectations exceedingly well!!

I dont actually use the 6055 but have 2 6045's in my system - I have to agree with Zimreef - they are excellent products but there are a few issues with some of them. In my case I have two 6045's from two different suppliers - aquatic store being one. I have recd excellent customer service from aquatic store but find it bizarre that when I have to switch off the pumps for maintenance etc - one of them always fails to switch back on and I have to end up manually trying to spin the impellar to get it going. The other one is perfect and I never have a prob with it. It does seem that some batches are better than others.
Also worth noting - if you run a heavy sps system I have found that the brackets that hold the nano become quite brittle with the constant supply of calcium etc and I have had to replace one as it litterly snapped when I tried to re-attach it following a regular maintenance session.
Overall, they are excellent pumps and I would still recommend them - the size, flow rate and design makes it a top choice.

ECHOED EOG REEF! Mine cost me £12 for 2 posted. Good price but free under warranty as deserved would have been better
Must admit they were very helpful and quick delivery but come on if they should be under warranty then thats what you expect! Naughty naughty shops:annoyed:
Who there sea-hoss!! I did not know free under warranty. I have sent a couple out myself but for 6045's not 6055's. Those I did send out, the customer mentioned nothing about within, or without, warranty.
Sorry about delays, I do not get email notification of posts. I have notify me enabled but somehow it reverted.
