So what do you lot reckon for my upgrade from a nano to a proper reef tank !

1. juwel trigon 350 custom stand to accept sump

2. 3x2x2 custom built again

I like the idea of the 3x2x2 custom

The trigon looks a nice tank but has a lot of compromises to be a marine tank, so i voted 3 x 2 x 2.
But i recon you should go for 3 x 3 x 21/2 or 3 x 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 :thumbsup:

you can put a sump in the factory trigon cabinet by remving half the centre divider. I still have the sump & top up tank that was built to fit into the factory cabinet.

Trigon nice tank but again theres a few issues, lighting etc, so 3x2x2 for me.

I'm doing a 36x27x27 - unbelievable difference in terms of the tank room available over a 3x2x2 and an extra 80 litres of gross water volume

definatly 3 x 2 x 2 as ive had a trigon in the past and there very very hard to get the lighting,flow etc right,i wouldn't have another corner set-up

Well it looks like the decision has been made for me by the misses after ordering the dinning room table today, And the good news is she does not know what 24" is so i think i can get a 36x27x27 and she will be non the wiser as long as its walnut and not in the lounge I'm OK.
