thanks to all who gave much needed advice yesterday evening :thanks:
have eventually fully identified our sea pen...cavernularia obesa...according to my research...is not bothered by what type of light, and is the opposite of most sea pens in that it feeds during the day and sleeps at night...thats a relief I was envisaging having to do 2am feeds again:laugh: :laugh:
Have also read that it will move around the tank till it finds a place with sufficient water flow and sand to bury into...ours seems quite happy where he is at the moment, got good water flow and he completely buried himself last night!! he's gone to bed early tonight as one of the crabs frightened him! the big softie:rolleyes: :rolleyes: I the aquarist who wrote the bulk of the article that I got my info from had one in his reef tank for years, so it can be done..just hope I am up to the job!:eek: ;)
