I've PM'ed Ian about this but I thought I'd post here as well to see if anyone else has the same problem.

I've down loaded the latest software and firmware as have my Bro-in-law and it still doesn't load into the controller a saved backup file. It doesn't work with either his laptop/controller or mine or any combination of his and mine.

You can save a config but it will not load in back in. The error message is " unable to load due to non connected sensors", or something like that, I didn't write it down.

Any ideas, are we the only people with this problem?

Hasn't anyone tried this then?

I also thought the problem with the controller display locking up had been fixed with this latest update but mine still freezes every couple of days requiring the date and time to be reset and the rear port has packed up. This I also add is my 2nd contoller as the 1st one was even worse than this one. On the plus side it was replaced free of charge.

backups have never worked for me.

I simply don't bother with them now, if I have to reset my unit (which I do but have put it off due to ..) I accept now that I will just have to reprogram every setting.

Not good is it, what's the point of being able to back up your config if you can't reload it. I would have thought Aquatronic would have got this basic function working by now.

Lock up, came home tonight to find yet again it's frozen. No answers/response from the agents?

Well, just to be contrary, I've found the "Load/Save" function works pretty well. I recently had a controller replaced, so I saved my old configuration and was able to load it into the new controller. Sadly, the dosing pump configuration doesn't appear to get saved, which was slightly annoying, but better that than having to reload every setting and program again.

We already discovered from one user in the USA that the update does NOT fix the problem of the controller locking up. It only prevents the unit from developing the problem. If your controller is already locking up the software will do nothing as something is already damaged in the unit.

Just In case someone is speed reading this, let me be clear, if your unit is working perfectly and you load the new software it should be OK and never develope the freezing problem. If your unit is already damaged the update cannot help.
