As you'd expect the final installment in the 2007 TOTM series is a fitting finale and like all the TOTMs before it this is a genuine UltimateReef.
What makes this tank exceptionally special is that it's owned by a sponsor of UR. Sponsors and shop owners spend all day long looking after a multitude of tanks and a variety of systems so how Steven has the time, the energy and the desire to keep his own tank looking like this I'll never know.
Congratulations to Steven for an absolute gem of a tank! Awesome reefkeeping...

Beautiful tank,hats off to you!
fantastic tank, looks stunning and well done
As nice as the pics are, this tank looks sooooo much better in the flesh. The colours really do pop!Really chuffed for you Steve, well deserved mate, and i would just say that the same level of dedication has gone into Cambridge Coral Tech the shop as has gone into the home tank. Steve really does know his stuff, i know this cause i'm always on the phone pestering him about this and that.I'd also like to thank Steve for checking in on my tank while i was away recently in Mauritius, appreciated.
Such a nice tank mate.Ive got to pop round and see it sometime. Thats how clean i aim all the tanks to be in the shop at all times.

Really stunning, I love acro island
Steve, you say that you run Ultralith - do you not run the full FM system with Bak and MinS then? (unless I missed it).
Cheers

hi jon, no i stopped the mins and bak a while ago, did not see a differance and i got through a fair bit, all i seemed to get was dirty glass??
have not dosed mins or bak for a couple of months now and not noticed any adverse effects, but from all tests that have been done on my system, nutrient levels were pretty low to start with but i'm not convinced too low is always a good thing, i think its a bit of a balancing act to get it right, summit i'm still trying to achive:rolleyes: , i am slowly increasing the fish load as i'd like more fish, but slowly...slowly.
as for the bak ect i spoke to claude at glee and he thought i may be overdosing but i was only dosing 1ml of bak and 1.5ml of mins... i think? been a while, i soon forget which was which way round:whistling:

hi muzzy, have always ran at quite a low temp, at this time of year the chiller pops on for an hour or so so not to bad but yes in summertime it can be on for some time, i have some azoo fans in the sump too just for a little assistance for the chiller, but the leccy bill is not tooooo bad!!, but my wife does moan ....occassionly:whistling:
