Im just starting fishkeeping what tank would you advise and what fish?

:D i really really would like to start fish keeping. could anyone give me any ideas for fish or cheapish tanks. i would like an algae eater and lots of small exciting colourful fish.

Hi and welcome to UR. The answers to your questions all depend on what size tank you want. Small is cheap but difficult to keep stable, large is expensive but much easier to keep stable.

How much do you intend to spend (then double whatever figure you have) but as above, bigger is easier.

Also, what research have you done so far on the animals you would like to keep??

even a nano will cost i am up to a grand in 10 months tank rock sand stock and every thing else you need might be peanuts to some but a grand a grand but there is nothing else i would spend my brass on and im from yorkshire :laugh:

remember cheap and marines do not go to gether you usually end up spending twice if you are saving save a little longer and while your doing this learn learn learn as much as you can then when the time comes to spend you will know what you need and don,t need ,and welcome to UR

Algae eaters in small reef tanks tend to be snails/crabs.
