And another thing that annoyed me today....

Reading the "Instructions and Dosing Recommendation:" on the back of the Ultralith tub"

.....please use only 500g of UltraLITH for ....

and

....to up to 1000 g for 400L....

On a tub that contains 1000ml

no mention on the tub at all with regards to the weight of the contents.

So how much to buy, I need 1000g according to this, having a 400L system? Do I go for the 1000g tub and find that it's short, or do I go for the 2500g tub?

So I go for the 2500g tub just to be sure.

But why mix measurements on the same label, just a little bit more thought required there I think.

i think the 1000ml weight is an error and should be grams.
i weiged my big tub of ultralith, it states 2500ml, it actually weighed approx the same figure in grams

I just buy the biggest 5500ml tub...works out cheapest and you will always have some spare :D

My 2500ml tub contains 2325g of product, so if it is the wrong unit on it I'm short by 7% of product.

oh well..... another day, another dollar lines somebody elses pocket.

I'm quite sure that they sell by tub volume and not by weight..thats why its in ml. The same thing happens when you buy tubs of carbon, phos remove etc from various European companies (e.g. Grotech, Aquamedic, Fauna Marin etc)
