the cooling fans in the hood of my 24g cube have started to make an awful racket on start up. i bought it from charterhouse aquatics last march. do i need to see them for replacements or yourselves?:thanks:

You will most probably never get a response from them using this forum, your best bet is to contact them throught the "Contact Us" page on their website. It lets them keep all contacts in one place rather than all over.

I've normally had very fast response using that.

i would go back to charterhouse aquatics ASAP as the tank is still under a year old.

I sent an email back to you from the web site but it bounced back as undelivered.

The fans will have sucked in a lot of air and dust/salt over the 10 months that you have had the tank. This collects on the tips of the blades and rubs against the casing causing noise. The best thing to do is to remove the fans and blow them down which should solve the problem.
Replacement fans are available if this is the route that you want to go down rather than cleaning them

i have cleaned my fans out twice now useing the good old dyson it worked well same on the old computor !!!! neil

thanks stuart. don't know why email bounced back. i have emailed several companies lately and recieved no reply so guess it's to do with y webmail address and spam filter. could you pm the price of replacement fans and also a replacement clear light cover as mine has cracked ( my own fault)
