When is the new salt and how much for a 23kg bucket ?

If its a brand new set up and not just a top up I would work out exactly how much salt you will need in total to fill your tank as opposed to working out per bucket.
I used reef crystals and the recommendation for mixing was 33 grams of salt per litre.
Have your power heads and heater running to help dissolve the salt.
It will start off really cloudy but will clear in a couple of hours.
