I know these are not normally fragged but mine when I bought it had abit of die off and now there is a sitable cut line through without damaging live pods, this would then give me a small collection about 25m square to put elsewhere in the tank

surpose the hardest bit will be cutting it, any suggestions?

Ive fragged a couple of mine now. Thers a post about my first ones HERE (http://www.ultimatereef.net/forums/showthread.php?t=211341)

Basically I just used a hammer and chisel that I had to hand but id recommend scoring it with a stanley first or even better using something like a tile cutter for a cleaner slice you could use a hand saw but your probably likely to cause more tissue damage in the long run.
Damaged polyps will recover and re grow with regular feeding, cant say i particularly had any problems and they continue to grow and grow.

I use a dremmel to cut/score between the cups then a screwdriver and hammer to break it up

I would take a dremel, or rather one of those cheap copies because all these tools don't like saltwater spray and will eventually rust(rot) away.
