how to ?

hi can anyone give me some pointers on how to resize pictures from 12.2 megapixels to the size on u/r as at the moment i use photogadget but this seems to loose most of the fine details. the new fish photo i put on here two days ago has lots of red down the back and all round the head it has really bright blue dots in the original but in the resized version it has all vanished. mabe clippo or someone else can advise better. thanks len:confused:

try faststone image viewer it has a good range of basic image editing tools including a batch resize/rename, it will even autocrop rather than change scale if the ratio's don't quite match. it's way faster than PS3, works with vista and best of all is free.
