D&D nano 24, New bulbs = long wait.

Hi all,
Both myself and a mate have bought a second hand D&D 24 each. Unsure of the condition of the bulb's, he went to our lfs and ordered 2 pairs (paid for at the time of ordering), that was 3 weeks ago yesterday. Still no sign of them.:( We had to go over to the shop yesterday to get some bit's and pieces and was told "they would chase them up" after the bank holiday. 3 weeks + is not good. It would be all the same if the bulb's had actually failed. I have looked on the D&D web site but can't find the bulbs for our tanks?.
So, is it likely to be our lfs or D&D at fault?:confused:

It's D&D and they are still on back order as they do not have any anywhere.

If you go to Theaquariumsolution Website, im sure there's an e-mail on there. I have e-mailed them before and to be honest there pretty sharp in replying. :)

d&d if in stock are always very very quick to supply, how ever if you get stuck, ASL provide identical bulbs i believe, we sell the 50/50 t5 power compacts there ones are damn fine, the interpet ones are pants imo;)

they are a wholesaler mate, most lfs deal with them, they should be able to source them for you:)

ASL are not a "wholesaler", they are D&D/Deltec agents themselves and if they haven't got them to supply to us as a retailer they wont have them to send to the public (which they shouldn't be dealing with direct) directly.

They (D&D/Deltec) are waiting for them to come in from Germany due to problems at that end.

It's as frustrating for us as it is for them and our customers waiting.

I know it's not our LFS fault that the bulbs are taking so long, I just think that D&D have let thier customers down and their suppliers. Some of the 24G NANO's have been around for over 12 months now and will be coming up for replacement bulbs.
I would like bet that D&D have managed to keep production up on the manufacture of the tank's, even at the sacrifice of the spare bulb's for exisiting customers.
I am looking to upgrade to a larger tank in the near future and I don't think any D&D/Deltic hardware products will be on my shopping list. :(

first i've heard of that:confused: i have the twin compacts in stock but am out of the 36wt, so you are saying that asl get the bulbs they sell from deltec?

The Aquarium Solution Limited is D&D Solutions who's partners are Deltec, Rowa and Guisemann.

ASL= aquatic soloutions limited...totally different company mate run by andrew werendel, they do the same t5 pc's;)

When furface referred to The Aquarium Solution Limited website earlier in the thread it was then shortened to ASL which was then mis-interpreted to being the same company and not Aquatic Solutions who I am more than aware of and have dealt with in the past.

I personally would rather supply the correct tubes which came with the Nano than get in copies or "similar" tubes IMHO.

If any customer wants to accept something similar or copies they can be supplied obviously from what ever source of supplier as most if not all now do copies of some sort with all products.

i didnt misinterperate it mate, i referred to ASL as they are a different company....which i said, if they got stuck they could ask a lfs to get the bulbs from.....ASL. the bulbs are the same...the interpet ones are pants and totally the wrong colour imo:) i have sold these to several people with the nano cubes, no problem, identical colour, prob the same bulb;) end of the day fella its your shop you do as you choose, but the guy wanted bulbs i simply pointed him in the direction to them via an alternative.

ive heard theres a new d&d nano tank mk2 that comes with a skimmer. anyone else heard anything?

Obviously because they had a few in before they became a problem at D & D as we have had them on back order for 6 weeks now.

We have a D & D delivery coming in tomorrow so hopefully they will be on their but, I did offer to take out the ones in the dry display which have never been on or used but the offer was declined.

The good will offer made by fishman 1908 was a nice gesture. :applause: We thought that we would give it another week but if they haven't come in this week, we will take him up on his offer of the bulbs out of his dry tank :thumbsup:

Deltec need to get their S#/7 together and deliver the goods to their customers, whilst they still have some. Don't think I will buy any Deltec hardware in the future! :annoyed:

Just like to say a big thanks to fishman 1908, went to the shop in question and he kindly gave me the 2 bulbs from a new D&D24 (unused). Still no supply from Deltec!. Just fitted them, now very happy. :dance:
