View Full Version : Canon Cashback
Has anyone else had trouble recieving the cashback offer from Canon?
I submited my details etc. in the first week of Jan, they confirmed that it was being processed early Feb. Then after 2 months (more than the 10 working days quoted to get the cheque:annoyed:) I e-mailed them (via submission status) to ask for a new cheque to be sent out.
It has now been another 15 working days since that cheque was suppposedly sent out and TBH I'm getting a little cheesed off:mad:.
They even quoted my address in the e-mail which was correct.

Hi, I went for a canon eos 400d last year that had £50 cash back on it. i sent the details off and waited 2 months before I heard anything. In the end I re-wrote to them and emailed them. Eventually about 2 more months later - the £50 cheque turned up. I would chase them with a sh1tty letter like I did!
I've used the cashback offer a couple of times now and received my cheque within 5 weeks of me posting the claim. Just make sure you send everything recorded delivery so you can back up your claim.

I have had 2 emails from them saying that the cheque has been sent and should arrive within 10 working days so they have my details, I'm just not recieving the cheque:annoyed:.
Do you think there would be any milage in going back to the shop that I purchased camera from (Jessops:o).

Think i may have been lucky, purchased a 580ex II for 229 new from a chap on a photography forum which was a good price.Even though im pretty sure it was a grey import i decided to chance my arm and send my reciept and barcode off to canon.Got a letter through from France last week containing a 40 quid cheque from Canon, woo hoo.
Id chase em Jim.
To be honest I've had cheques go missing in the post before, I wouldn't lay the blame totally at Canon's door!
my daughter got a cannon with a cashback offer, she did seem to get her cheque quite quickly? although she did say the forms were a complete pain in the .....
Aha, many thanks for the thread - it reminded me to claim my cashback :)

That's cool, looks like I'll have to remind Canon to give me my cashback:)
Cheers for the feedback Sally
And Tony:eek: a 580 for less than the RRP of the 430 (after cash back), what can I say:applause:

if you follow this link, it should take you to the canon website. They have an online form that you fill in, print out and send off.
