I must say that I am really impressed with Reef Dreams ,my replacement wetside for my Vortech arrived Today and the pump is now working 100% again, just slightly worried about it going wrong in the first place is there a fault with these or am I the only one to have this problem?

Interested to know what the problem was with the wetside of the pump please mate?????????

No probs mate as follows : the pump started to get really noisy then I noticed the green light on the white power unit flashing looked at the wetside of the pump and it was hardly spinning, removed it from the tank and there was loads of movement on the impellor, fitted the new one and all is fine , but I am a bit worried that this could be a possible failure problem due to fatigue over time.

My oldest one (hence my question to you) has recently had three incidents where the wet half has dropped off the glass.

How old was yours???????

mine is one of the first ones about 10 months old I think ,it has never fell away from the dryside motor unit ,been really good until this problem ,just wondering how long it will be until I get the same fault happens again.

Agreed ,they are really good pumps.
