View Full Version : 703 refurb
Hey guys,
I have a Deltec 703 skimmer. Its not performing as well as it used to and after a good clean still no vast improvment, so i was thinking of replacing the needle wheels.
How do i get ahold of replacement needlewheels for the eheim pumps?
Hope you guys can help
Mark

I refurbished mine by buying 3 new 1260's and fitting the old needle wheels on the new impellers as per Reefblokes DIY thread. Total cost was under £200
i find mine works better with a mix of normal and needle impellors tbh.
interesting Wills.. What mix? 2 needlewheels 1 without?
Are the 1260's modded by deltec to take the needlewheels? The pumps themselves are getting on abit as well.
Interesting Wills, what mix is working for you? 2 needlewheels 1 without?
Are the 1260's modded by deltec at all? The pumps themselves could do with replacing really

i think mine are 2 normal and 1 needle wheel, would offer to check but its such a pita as the skimmer is run of the return pump, i would need to drain loads down and im about to strip the system so could let you know then, i stll get a full cup every week out of it roughly

Why would you buy a deltec and then run it with normal impellors on it?
This idea does not make any sense in any way

Have you cleaned out the venturi pipe(s) on the pump? mine would clog up with salt/dust etc and need scraping out with a small drill bit.
