I got myself a new camera today, the Fuji Finepix S8000FD and have not fully got to grips with it yet but managed to get these shots using the super macro mode except the last one. Bit disappointed that i couldn't get the Bee more in focus but he wasn't staying still for long!!

Yay, you decided to go for a finepix, nice choice :)

Nice pics :) have fun learning and try and use the thing to it's potential. I didn't, and only realised after upgrading to dSLR that you could actually do ALOT with the S series finepix (shoot in RAW, bracket your shots etc) I should have RTFM, but i'm a bloke, we don't do these things do we ....

:)

Thanks for the comments. From what i've used of it so far i'm very impressed. The super macro mode is just awesome.

I've got the manual at work today for some lunch hour reading!! And when i finish work i'm off to see my brother in law for a bit of a tutorial as he's used finepix's for years!!

Am really glad i bought it, was spurred into it by my Pentax compact giving up and also wanting to get out and about more in the countryside. Living in Devon is the perfect place to do that i guess!! So i'm sure over the coming week's i'll be boring you all with more of my photo's!!
