thanks guys :) it was an amazing experience and we were really lucky to see so many things, youve only seen a small selection here! lol one thing which was a shame though was that it was cloudy alot of the time so the light wasnt that good for alot of the shots.

I have a canon 350d and those were taken with the tamron 300mm lens, a 500mm would of been really useful a few times! but alas corals come before paying for a new lens :D

Cool pics - looks like you had a good time and some good sightings.

Very fortunate indeed to see a serval never mind get a decent pic of one!

we actually saw 4 of them!! was unbelievable, plus there were genets in one of the camps though i didnt actually manage to get one on camera seeing as they always appeared when i wasnt armed.

here are a couple more of the serval:

we also saw 3 leopards but as you can see theyre impossible to photo when theyre in the tree...

plus cheetah cubs.... but again a little too far away to see clearly but this will at least give you some idea

this might be a stupid question but did you see any giraffes or are they not around in that area??

oh alright if you insist on seeing more ;)

http://www.ultimatereef.net/uploader/2008Q1/giraffe serengeti.jpg

the only thing that i would say we didnt see that much of was different types of antelope... we didnt see any kudu, sable, roan etc though apparently they are in the area just are noticeable through the dry season in sept.

But we did see alot of eland, dikdik, impala, thompsons gazelle and grants gazelle
