Right peeps can we have your pics again this month please.
We are looking for predatory fish that are to be found in home aquariums. These may include triggers of all varieties, lion fish, butterflies, eels, tusk fish, cow fish etc etc. Most of the fish will probably be found in FOWLR tanks but there are a few brave individuals keeping certain species in reef tanks.
As per the norm please keep to the rules as can be found here and pm me the entries.

Yeh its a fuzzy, not sure of the Latin name though, might be worth looking in the i.d database
I think you will find its not a fuzzy but a "Radiata Lionfish", which is a dwarf lionfish.

In a big tank with no small fish id say yes, radiata's are smaller than volitans but will still get large enough to eat small fish.
ummm was about just a drawf fuzzy lion and a radiata's nothign else in a 72L tank???? just dieing to have 2 lionfishes together :D
:shocking: i never knew there where so amny kinds of drawf lionfish :D

Radiata can reach 8-10" so a 72 L is out of the question for a Radiata mate.
can someone tell me 'A' lionfish that can be kept with my fuzzy drawf in a 72L tank?

Can you start a new thread in help and advice please sam,its making this SOTM comp thread a bit messy.
Cheers Tony
Love Pic 4 too, great shot
sorry reef bloke just thought i would give it a shot

pretty sure it isnt a radiata. iirc the radiata doesnt have that amount of webbing in the pectoral fins.
also the pattern and facial marking look nothing like that of a radiata.
looks more like a dwarf lion or dwarf fuzzy imo

The pic is of my fish although I am not responsible for the photo. The species is Dendrochirus zebra. It lives in a 60 gallon tank which it shares with a Fuzzy Dwarf Lion.
I like it because of its fabulous pectoral fins and the fact that it closely resembles a volitans. But, it only attains a size of 7-8".
The downside is that try as I have, I cant get him weaned off feeder shrimp. The fuzzy eats anything i drop in the tank.

as i suspected, dwarf lion or dwarf fuzzy. lovely fish mate
as i suspected, dwarf lion or dwarf fuzzy.
haha thats funny, it could only be one or the other. As I stated a Radiata (which I accept this picture is not) is a dwarf Lionfish.
