Which one?

What is the best between these two.I want to use it on holiday and to take close ups of my tank mates,Nikon D40 + 18-55 mm lens kit(£272 new) or Sony A200K with 18-70 mm f3.5-5.6 lens kit(£269 new).I'm no David Bailey,more like David Jason:laugh:

Nikon imo wins hands dowm, swmbo has the D40x, great piece of kit, try and up your budget a bit and get the Nikon 55-200MM F4.5-5.6G AF-S DX Lens as well, just over £100 on amazon,and it will give you a bit of flexibility to.

I just bought a Nikon D40 18-55, and a sigma 55-200 and as a novice DSLR user it is perfect, easy to use in either Auto or Manual modes and quality is superb.
