i want to start using the ulns and want to know what the majority is using and why...

also whats the easiest to get along with?

FM Ultralith for me

I get on well with the system and have achieved fantastic results

Beyond the basic 4 (bacteria, carbon source, aminos & zeolites), I prefer the FM feeding systems than the KZ colour tweakers.

btw - your poll should read KZ or FM... or... Zeovit or Ultralith ;)

I have tried both and am now using Zeo and very happy with it. I found it easier to get to grips with than FM and you have the Zeo forum for help and advice.

KZ system has been around longer so there seems to be more info available and the potions have been tweaked for optimum performance. I think FM is in it's infancy by comparison, but does give great results too

i currently use the FM ULNS but must admit the a web site similar to the Zeovit site would be useful for FM owners to have similar so people would be able to share the same experiences like the Zeovit site offers.

Have you tired ultralith.com. Not a very busy site but it is for FM Users.

FM Ultralith at the moment for me, keeping my nutrients low but the colour isn't great at the moment. May consider changing in the future to Zeovit.

Yes i have and i am a member but does not have the in depth knowledge and advice that the Zeo users have which at times is nice to have.

I agree, it isn't as useful resource as the zeovit site, but is a dedicated forum in the same way. Quite a new site as well I believe. The challenge I guess is getting people to use it, which would over time make it more useful.

Basic 4 - carbon source, bacteria strains, amino acids and zeolites

Both Zeovit and Ultralith are pretty much the same when using only the basic 4 (which is what most people use). Beyond the basic 4, KZ have potions which seem to force the zoox out of the corals (Spur2/B-balance) and trace solutions. FM also has trace solutions but focus more on nutrition and foods rather than colour tweakers.

serious note i have seen tanks run on both zeo all the way my friend on my next project!
