A handy thing to capture the moment?
My phone takes better pics than my camera?
Annoying?

I personally think they are good for capturing a moment (badly) when you have nothing else around.

Yes totally agree, certainly better than nothing but I rarely dont have my camera with me so luckily dont have to rely on them often.

lol, mine does actually, although it will let me down on tank pics which is a shame.
That said, my camera is pretty poor, well... very poor.
useful if you have nothing else but i'd rather have my camera. A phone is for calling and texting in my book.
I dont use a phone cam but i think they're a superb idea. There have been too many shots i missed in the days of 35mm just because i didn't have my camera with me.
For the moment, at least from the shots i've seen from phone cams they are all you need for record shots. As for the future, i see the phone cam being far more capable than most of the low end junk slr's that people think so much of.
I can imagine a serious level photographer would happilly use a phone cam for record shots rather than carry his/her £3000 camera around with them every day. In fact, there are some pro's that use point and shoot camera equipment for simple record shots.
So, i think the future of phone cams has only just begun.
