I know STM are selling it, think if you give them a call they will post it out. Something you should use with caution though.
A thread is running on RC under the FM section showing peoples experience with it so far.
Yes we have it in stock at STM, give us a call if you want it mail order.

Hi Matt
Yes we ever said that this is a strong product and a medication
and it is absolute important that the dosing will be correct. and
the product is use like we said
We only use Algea X when other ways to remove algeas did not work
Greets Claude
Just as a word of caution after talking to Claude tonight.
This product has been tested extensively in Germany for years with great results and no problems.
However recently a couple of cases in the USA have come up where fish have struggled for breath (in laymans terms) following the use of Algae X.
In every case the aquarium either had a DSB or a Sulphur denitrator.
so its safe to say if you have either the product should be used with extreme caution as there appears to be a reaction with the sulphur.
This is not a magic potion but a medication, use it with care.

i have used this stuff and it has killed off all but 4 fish, i have lost 2 tangs, a foxface, a longnose butterfly, a cleaner wrasse, 1 nem and 2 cleaner shrimp.
the bloody algae appears to be even thicker now as well.
i followed the instructions to the letter and i have no sand at all in my system so its not the DSB reaction i read about.
sod it all, i give up - i have been battling with this stuff since june last year, it has finially won.

Hi
Did you said you have no sand in the whole system ?
Which rocks you use
if you have hairalgeas then you have a massive Po4 problem
and Algea X if it will be used correctly makes normaly not bigger problems
could you send me pictures of your tank and your actual water paramters

I just added the Ultra Algae X to my tank last night. I have read numerous reports, mostly good with some minor bad and hopefully this will cure my poblem. The Bryopsis hair algea in my tank is getting a hold and I've tried numerous methods. All my water params are very good. I've removed Rawphos fluidiser and Purigen, turned off uv and running skimmer very wet. I did a 10% water change just before adding the Ultra X.
I will keep all posted on it's progress.

I have exactly the same thing. Just like you the only real answer seems to be manual removal. It's hard work but it does seem to be working. Whatever anyone says I'm convinced some hair algae species are not nutrient bound (and not just the bryopsis feathered type). Even after I stripped all the algae out of my system over a week I still couldn't register any PO4 on the Merck kit.

I agree Claude and I really don't want to put this in my main system.
Does this stuff work well when used in say a bucket with a few pieces of live rock which after the dosing period can be returned to the main display?
Does the medication break down after a number of days (even in a bucket)? I wouldn't want to introduce the treatment to my main tank.
The bucket would be old tank water kept up to temp and with a powerhead in.
I just feel if I can kill off the roots of any of the algae on the existing rockwork that can easily be removed it almost certainly will not return. The new rock I have put into the display hasn't had any signs of algal growth.

HI
no the product works on a biological way. latest 2 days later the product is complete removed of the system by bacterias and Skimmer.
the product did not remove nutrition and the reason why the algeas growes
it only kills existend algeas
that is all

HI,
