been trying to culture brine shrimp, followed the instructions for the water added 1g of eggs per litre like it says ran an airline in the centre of the bottle to keep eggs suspended 24 hours later all have hatched and seem great, reduce the air supply slightly and add my hufa enrichment 1ml dissolved in 8ml of water as described and the next day they are all dead at the bottom???? 3 times its happend now? any ideas?
:annoyed:

No mate, no idea. I would give ZM a call and see if they have any ideas, might be something simple that can be put right over the phone. :D

Hi Matt - yep, that's not the right result and you're right to bring it up. I did a quick check and couldn't immediately spot your order details - do you still have the invoice number please for additional reference?

For the HUFA enrichment I may need to re-edit the instructions; the HUFA details you've listed are correct however; try harvesting the shrimp after hatching to be sure excess debris such as shells and unhatched cysts are removed. Ideally the enrichment process is made with a pH in the range 7.5-8.5 and its possible the excess organics from the hatching process has dropped the pH too far. Clean the hatcher, renew the salted water, add aeration, add the shrimp, and finally the HUFA enrichment and harvest after 24 hrs.

As a follow up test I'll send you a sample of some new cysts we're trying plus some HUFA and I'll duplicate the test here with the same material. How does that sound?

Cheers
