View Full Version : Best settings for shooting tank with Nikon D70?
Anyone know the best settings to use on a Nikon D70 SLR for good / acceptable fish, coral and full tank shots please?

For fish stick it in shutter priority if using hand held and without a flash.Dial in a shutter speed of over 1/125 if shooting slow swimming fish.You may have to up the ISO to if there isn't enough available light.Coral shots are different,keep the lens square to the glass and in aperture priority choose an aperture of around f8 and shoot from a tripod if possible or keep the lens up against the glass to steady the shot.
Full tank shots you could probably get away with full auto,close the curtains to keep reflections off the glass and don't use flash.
