Ive just set up a tank and will use zeovit shortly but Ive used it in the past and had fantastic results,

one thing I did learn though is that its not a magic wand, you have to put in the work testing and restesting etc

I've been hanging around on the ZV forum in order to learn a little more and all users seem pretty impressed. The pictures and data from Mr Pohl certainly are impressive :)

Got to get some better stability here first.

Looking to start at end of Sept ;)

Do any users out there still use RowaPhos with a ZV regime ? It's not recommended and It will be hard for me to give it up:(

Also are all users working with reactors or just with a passive flow ?

I stopped rowa straight away when I started.

I used a reactor, my feelings are that if your keepign sps then you need a reactor, if you have a softie/lps tank then passive flow is fine, maybe even best

My corals have never looked better but as for reducing no3 haven't really seen a change but keep fiddling with it so I might find the right balance in the end. Have taken advice from the forum lots of knowledgeable and helpful peeps there

For those thinking of trying the zeovit system check out the stm shop site, some great bargains on the starter kits etc. We normally carry a large quantity across the whole range of KZ additivies, the new calcium reactors, stone reactors, skimmers and all the light unit range are available to order and are supplied normally within 7days.

I have taken the plunge with Zeo. I have only been using it for a week, so I can't say how good/bad it is yet.

I'm also using NSW with it so it will be interesting to see how that goes :)

tried it and gave up, only ever gave me bad cyano.

Also tried vodka to the same effect.

Still have the stones in the reactor in my sump running but I now never ever bother to "plunge", must take it out, clean it up and sell it.

Had a million % better results from the tried and tested BIG regular water changes.

Also Nitrates went UP not down when using ULNS for me anyway.

Pointless expensive waste of money for me.

I have used zeovit on my bigger tank with good results.
I have tried it on 120l tank this year and gave up soon after. I found it difficult to keep stable water conditions in such small water volume. This combined with zeovit caused sps tissue recession...

I used the FM stuff for two months. Nitrates stayed the same so I couldn't justify forking out another £50 for more BAK and BIO. I didn't use the zeolites though so that may have made a difference.

Just letting the tank find a balance, am happy with what I have seen so far but its still early days.
