hi just a quick update of where i am with my tank.
so now i have a sump for my live rock and heater so that (a) the tank runs cooler :thumbsup: and (b) i can have my grass bed of macro algae :dance: and (c) when i get another power head for it the live rock has more flow and it wont make a washing mashine for my fish.
So at the min i have 2 H.kuda and a fire dart and a tiny clean up crew (3 snails 2 hermits) that makes no difference to the mess that the kuda make.
I have only ever seen nitrate once and that was 2 days after the seahorses were added since then i have not seen any and i test every 2 days.
Because i have no macro yet i just have a few plastic plants and i have let one bit of hair algae grow alot so they can hold onto it which does not look too bad as its like a big green anenomone that my fire dart sleeps in and the seahorses hang onto as they prefer it over the plastic.
i have a few soft corals but i am having problems with my colt coral staying on its perch as it keeps coming off :mad:.
my seahorses are feeding very well and are my fave pets at the min.
i am stuck so far with what clean up crew to add as i want macro algae but dont know what macro safe clean up crew i can have as i have thought about a starfish and would like a lynica (spelling???) so that it can grow into my bigger tank along with my corals, fish, and macro.
I am also finding it hard to find macro algae as i have tried to search google for it and cant find any and also ebay both with no luck and my lfs says it can get it but it would cost about 20quid for 1 cutting :annoyed:
can anyone give me a pm of a few sites in the UK that sell it please?
