Hello wonder if some of you ultra skim 2 owners can give me a hand i have one of the older models that doesnt have the bubble plate but the divider in the neck anyways when i got the skimmer it didnt come with the pump it still had the jet injection anyways i hooked up an sedra 5000 to it and it seems fine however it produces very sticky skimate that rise from the neck but wont fall into cup if i let it it would climb forever.What do u guys suggest i cant raise water level in skimmer because the outlet is just a pipe with an elbow any help would be greatly appreciated

I have the Ultra Skim 3 and i am sure its the same principle, do you have an outlet with a t piece, one outlet is the return water from the skimmer ans the other outlet from the t piece should have a piece of plastic pipe with a fitting for the air inlet to the pump, if you have and you turn this pipe around only very slightly, the foam in the skimmer tube should rise or fall depending on which direction you move it.

:thumbsup:it looks like that except for two things it doesnt have a bubble plate it has a divider and where the tee is on mine there is just an elbow oh and it has what they call jet injection=venturi
