View Full Version : What do you prefer length or depth?
New tank options.
15x3x3high
or
8x6x3high
double length or double depth?
How about both - 15x6x3 high? :)
Having seen Martin Lakin's tank, a good front to back depth gives a completely different look to the tank so I'd go 8x6x3 if having to make a choice.
John
PS: Also depends on the dimensions of the room that it is in though.

8 x 6 x 2 unless youve got unusually long arms!!
If it was me I would definitely be going for the second option, 6 foot front to back would make for a mighty impressive looking tank if you scaped it well (Oregon Reef!) and with that much depth could look much more natural than the first option IMO.
Jeff.
Depth for me mate, easily!!!
The other option is to try and squeeze to 15 x 4 x 3.
So is 4ft enough depth or would you still go to 6ft and cut the length?

Guess it depends how you want to aquascape it, 15x4x3 is already pretty deep but I would still go for 6ft. :D

That tank is 6x7.5x2.5. Pretty similar to the one you're considering...:whistling:
