Hi all
I currently have an Aquaone AR620 which i've been running for a year now with a pair of tank bred Reidi and a female Barbouri. I am using an external cannister filter and an undergravel filter as well. The Reidi have been having babies on a regular basis for 6 months now, about every 3 weeks or so in fact.

I am in the middle of upgrading their tank to a 24x24x20 24"high 24"wide 20"deep I would like tp know what people suggest i use for filtration on this? e.g. external with media such as polyfilter and alphagrog maybe? I can't add a sump unfortunately though.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Paul

Hi Paul,
Could you give us a bit more info..... What have you got in mind for the aquascaping, any other inhabitants your planning to keep?

Personally I like to use LR / Tonga branch within my SH tanks, together with some nice macro algae it takes care of bio filteration and creates a much more natural looking tank, plus your seahorses will really appriciate it aswell,
They like to spend alot of their day hunting for pods and its a much more interesting environment for them, keeping them active is quite important for good health, I would use LR rubble and also add rowaphos carbon polywool as required within the canister filter.

Sorry for late reply Simon, and thanks for your advice. I have reefbones as well don't want liverock really. I will be adding a shrimp and goby pair and have a bicolour blenny as well. Was thinking of adding some broad leaf caluerpa as well but is there any danger of this crashing and wiping my tank out?

Thanks
Paul
